Overview
Ready to get out of the prone and into the challenges of positional shooting? This 2-Day Clinic is your segway into the world of positional shooting, whether off of a tripod, competition prop, or natural terrain in a field or hunting scenario, we’ve got you covered. Led by Marine Scout Sniper Instructors with over 50 years of combined operational and teaching experience, this intensive program takes the core skills you've already mastered and puts them to work in challenging, realistic scenarios.
We’ll take a closer look at our Positional Triangle, breaking down what makes a shooting position effective and how to quickly build one that plays to your strengths. You’ll work through different scenarios and drills, from competition stages to field positions, pushing yourself to get off the ground and out of your comfort zone. We’ll also cover wobble zone management and efficient transitions between positions.
Who This Course Is For
This course is for Graduates of our Foundation Course or shooters with equivalent level 1 training. You should be able to execute prone fundamentals without conscious thought – your shooting process is automatic, your recoil management is clean, and you navigate ballistic solvers with confidence.
Capabilities You’ll Develop

Prerequisites
To ensure you're prepared for the advanced challenges in this course, students must demonstrate:
Foundational Proficiency: Completion of our Foundation Course or equivalent level 1 precision rifle training with documented proficiency.Unconscious Competence from Prone: Consistent execution of proper shooting fundamentals from the prone position without conscious thought—your process should be automatic.Recoil Management: Clean, consistent recoil management that allows you to spot your own impacts and maintain stable sight picture through the shot.Ballistic Solver Competency: Working knowledge of modern ballistic solvers and ability to generate accurate firing solutions for known distance engagements.Equipment Readiness: A properly zeroed precision rifle system with functional optic, and familiarity with your rifle's operation and adjustments.Proof of Legal Firearm Possession: Must provide proof via sheriff's letter, current CCW, or Form 4473 from past year
The reason behind these prerequisites is to ensure the individual shooter has the skills necessary to focus solely on the positional shooting aspect of the instruction. During this one day clinic, outside of establishing a correct zero and quick trajectory validation, we will be primarily focused on positional shooting.
