Background checks are required for every participant because we run live-fire training with rifles at distance, and everyone on the line deserves to know the environment is vetted. This is standard practice across reputable firearms training programs. We use a third-party service so the process stays fast and consistent. It is not about gatekeeping—it is about making sure the range stays safe and every student can focus on learning instead of worrying about who is next to them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our precision shooting training courses
This FAQ covers the questions students ask most often before booking Cadre training, including background checks, deposits, gear requirements, logistics, and cancellation policies. Each answer is written to stand on its own so you can understand the process and expectations before registering for a precision rifle class.
Browse the schedule on our classes page on TicketTailor and pick the course that fits your level and location. A $500 deposit locks your seat. After registering you will get a confirmation email with next steps including background check instructions, a gear list, and location details. Classes fill on a first-come basis and we keep groups small, so if a date works for you it is worth registering early rather than waiting.
Refunds depend on how far out you cancel. If you cancel 120 or more days before class, you get a full deposit refund. Under 120 days, your deposit is non-refundable, but any additional money you have already paid will be returned. Under 30 days, no cash refunds are issued, but your full balance rolls over to a future class. We set these thresholds because small class sizes mean an empty seat affects the whole group. The earlier you let us know, the more options we have for you and for the next student on the waitlist.
It depends on the course. Foundation is built for newer shooters or anyone who wants to rebuild their fundamentals with structure—no prior precision rifle experience needed, just safe firearm handling. Competition Intro fits shooters who already have basic marksmanship down and want to understand match formats, stage flow, and how to shoot under a clock. Performance courses are for experienced competitors working on wind calls, positional efficiency, and breaking through plateaus. Each class listing spells out what is expected so you can find the right fit.
Accommodations are not included in standard course fees. After you register, your confirmation materials include nearby lodging recommendations so you can book something close to the range. Some specialty or remote-location courses may bundle lodging—when that is the case it will be spelled out in the course description and pricing. If you are traveling from out of state and want suggestions on where to stay, timing, or coordinating with other students, reach out and we can point you in the right direction.
