Our 2-day Precision Hunter Prep Course is specifically designed to get you dialed in and ready for hunting season. Developed and taught by Marine Scout Sniper Instructors with over 50 years of combined experience, this course builds a rock-solid foundation for hunters who demand precision, confidence, and ethical execution in the field. Many shooting courses tell you what you'll learn, but we focus on what you'll be able to do when the moment of truth arrives. This isn't about memorizing facts – it's about developing real-world hunting skills. After 2 days with us, you won't just know about precision rifle shooting; you'll be able to confidently and consistently execute the shot on game, even from unconventional hunting positions.
Capabilities You'll Develop
Safely handle and operate a precision rifle system.Select the ideal rifle and cartridge for the animal you're planning to hunt.Understand how to establish a maximum lethal/ethical engagement range.Set up your precision rifle for maximum comfort, stability, and recoil management in any shooting position.Properly zero your scope at 100 yards.Demonstrate the capabilities and limitations of your precision rifle system.Effectively manage recoil while shooting from field conditions.Develop a systematic approach to creating a stable and effective shooting position.Program and utilize a modern ballistic solver for precise calculations.Engage targets at known/unknown distances from a stable, foundational shooting position.Develop your abilities as a long-range spotter and learn to communicate effectively, read wind, and identify trace.Establish a consistent method for reading wind and formulating an accurate wind firing solution.
Prerequisites
Our program welcomes new and seasoned hunters.
This course is NOT a fundamental precision rifle course, so a basic understanding of Precision Rifle Fundamentals is recommended.A shooter should be able to confidently hit a 12” plate at 300 yards.
Gear List
Bring what you normally would be hunting with or gear you want to hunt with but haven’t tested yet. The intent is to test and become proficient at using your ACTUAL equipment.
